so we've started with setting up christmas. we had such a busy weekend too but we managed to fit in setting up the tree and stockings and such. there's still stuff to put out but at least we got started. alex also visited santa claus at the mall this weekend - i thought i uploaded the photo but apparantly i didn't so that will show up later at some point. she smiled nicely for the photo and then told santa what she wanted for christmas. it seems as though alex thought santa was going to give her the gifts right then and there so we had to explain that she was just putting in a request and we'll see what happens on christmas morning. and alex was quite the champ with running errands all weekend too - she was so exhausted but kept going from stop to stop (even after she slid into home on the concrete outside of target and skinned up her knee pretty well - and later telling us that she couldn't move it or walk on it until it came down to us getting ready to go get x-rays at the hospital - then miraculously with the help of chocolate ice-cream the leg was working again).
