so, while supply shopping for work, i came across what looked like a fun new idea: colored bubbles! and they have green, alex's favorite color. and since it's made by crayola why not give it a try - alex will love it, right? oh my goodness, don't ever buy this stuff! it was as if it was straight food coloring added to bubble mix - in fact straight food coloring may not have been as messy. the bubbles looked great, but were messy as can be. when we were done, alex's hands were completely covered in green, along with some on her face, legs, arms and lonnie was half green! lonnie had bubble shaped green marks all down his side and nose. what a mess. the one good thing, true to brand, is that it did clean up very well. all the green washed easily off of alex, and once lonnie got a bath the green came right off of him too. we still threw out the bubbles and will never buy colored bubbles again. other than that, the weather was beautiful all weekend, so we fit in an outdoor soccer game: john was the substitute coach this week. it was pretty funny with kids running off to get a drink of water whenever they wanted and running in the wrong direction: funny stuff. at least we fit in some sun because i believe we're in for another week of rain.
