dance recital

it's close to the end of the school year, so things are wrapping up. alex had her dance recital this week. this year, there were lots more girls in dance class and they combined the recital with the preschool gradutation. the dancers had three songs they performed to - i have video that i'll hopefully upload later today, or soon. alex did a great job - she clearly knew a lot more this year than last. she enjoyed performing in front of people, and would wave to us during the dance. spring soccer is wrapping up also - even harder to believe since we barely had any games this season due to rain. we did not have a game this past weekend because the fields were too wet and we only have one more game this coming weekend (if that doesn't get rained out) unless they schedule make-up games. the sun finally came out this weekend and wow, it was hot. we even pulled the backyard inflatable pool out on monday when it was going to get into the nineties. the pool was fun until lonnie figured out how much fun it was to leap inside the pool and splash around and jump back out. actually, that part was really funny (lonnie has so much fun in water) until it all ended up in tears because for sure the pool would pop and alex was upset that she wouldn't have a pool anymore! although miraculously it does not appear to be popped, but it may just be a slow air drain and there could still be a hole to be found.
