mother's day

alex made me a bunch of art at school for mother's day. we all sent in a recipe to school and they compiled all the kid's recipes into a cook book and this is alex's cover. she also made me lots of pictures and tissue paper flowers. i also received a foot bath, which is wonderful. we went out to iHop for mother's day breakfast - alex wanted to go there so john could have his "favorite syrup, blueberry" (and more likely she wanted to go there for the chocolate chip pancakes for herself.) she also got to have some ice-cream cake later that night for a late birthday cake for john - she tried some new foods in order to earn that dessert. she tried a drumstick, some different cheeses and potatoes - yay alex!
