almost summer break

saturday was the last soccer game of the spring season and alex is finally getting in the game. she's been showing promise in goal - which is where she prefers to play, but she is now starting to get more aggressive on the field. she got a few good kicks in there and some blocks. and she's pretty good at throwing the ball - although she's still quite literal, when they say throw it down the line she does that exactly. this week is also her last week of school before summer break. many of her friends are already on break. also, this weekend alex wanted to have a garden of her own, so john and her planted a garden. she wants a sign for it too, so i need to make one at some point. and the caterpillars have made their cocoons. and alex finally tried a home grown strawberry and loved it! yay, so now she's in love with strawberries and made sure to plant some in her new garden.
