it was an interesting week for sure. we lost power monday night and didn't have it back for a couple of days. the house was soooo cold and we had to get rid of most of our food. the first day we had no power, alex and john had school cancelled so they stayed home and had indoor campout. they grilled hot dogs in the fireplace and baked potatoes. halloween day didn't even feel like halloween, since we still didn't have power and trick-or-treating got rescheduled. then the weekend, john was out of town for uncle john's service so it was girls' weekend. we got some much needed stuff done around the house, like laundry and cleaning. we enjoyed a dinner and some photo time with carter and sarah. and we went to see wreck it ralph in 3d, which was really cute. and finally, trick-or-treating. it was so dark by the time it even started and really cold. but alex doesn't need much candy and enjoys handing it out. plus she went thru her candy and is donating most of it to the candy drive at school today.
