dorothy and rain



 well, soccer is officially over for the season, unceremoniously. the make-up game scheduled for this weekend was cancelled due to rain. it was going to be really cold anyways. alex had a birthday party on saturday for her friend, jack. it was a halloween themed dress-up party, so she got to try out her dorothy costume. and i was informed by alex, that at the party she had; 3 cookies, some candy and a cupcake! she has been good about trying new foods though too: her new favorite is cauliflower! she has eaten brocolli also and says she likes it, she tried quinoa yesterday and really enjoyed the pasta dish with sausage and butternut squash that i made yesterday - she gave my cooking a thumbs up. we carved pumpkins yesterday, pictures to come later. alex cleaned out the guts of the pumpkin for me, and i cooked the seeds; which were really yummy, but alex didn't like them and said she'd never try them again.
