yes, we are all decorated for halloween; including alex and i in our matching glow-in-the-dark skeleton pajamas. alex had her drum lesson on friday night; the teacher said she did a really good job this week - she told me that learning drums is "tricky" and she needs to practice. she was supposed to have a double header for soccer on saturday, but it rained too much and the fields were closed. since she's going to miss a couple of weekends of games, she now only has 2 games left in the season! on sunday, alex's friend abby came over for a play date. i think they had fun: they had lunch and cookies; did some bottle cap art; played in alex's room; did some wooden peg doll art; played outside; did some origami; sang some karaoke and danced; and i don't remember what else. after the play date, alex learned a new pattern to do on her rainbow loom by watching some youtube tutorials. funny sidenote: on saturday, i had a little bit of ice-cream; well, i had a scoop of some of alex's preferred ice-cream which is chocolate moose tracks; so alex looks and me and says "hey, that's my ice-cream" to which i replied "i didn't see your name on it"; so then she leans over to john and says "will you go write my name on that ice-cream" - haha. oh and then on sunday when i was working on sewing some ties and alex was creative bracelets i was talking to her about how projects sometimes take longer than a day and that i never finish my projects in a day, and she replies to that with "i do."
