alex had another drum lesson on friday; they are learning to keep the beat (which should be interesting.) she is enjoying class so far. and she had a soccer game on saturday. that field is huge and alex's team does not have enough players to sub out; not to mention there were two players that didn't make it on saturday so they had an even smaller team. alex started out in goal, made a save and then swapped out because so much running on that giant field is really hard on these girls. she did okay on the field, they just get so tired so fast that they are really just jogging back and forth. she got close to scoring a couple of times, but she is convinced that she should pass the ball to her friends and let them try to score instead of taking the shot herself - she's rather polite for soccer. john hosted the bachelor party on saturday so alex and i got out of the house for a while: we went over to meet aaron and mildred's new puppy, Kona. alex loved seeing the puppy and did a great job and brought her a couple of chew toys that Kona loves. sunday, alex and i went out to breakfast and then we cleaned up the house a little and got out the halloween decorations while doing laundry and getting ready to start another week.
