rockstar birthday party

it was another cold week and alex had two days off school! she did a lot of reading on those days and is now on level 2. tae kwon do is going well still and drums is still on. yesterday, alex had a birthday party for one of her friends and it was a "rockstar theme." we dropped her off at the party and when we got back to pick her up she was all done up with make-up, her hair was braided and curled, and she had a manicure (she made sure to tell me right away that it was OPI polish, haha.) i guess they walked the runway and signed autographs and filled out a celebrity questionnaire about the type of movie they would be in - alex would be in an animal mystery based at the zoo. and then we enjoyed watching the puppy bowl - even lonnie enjoyed that show. once the actual super bowl came on, alex tuned out and did some online school activities.
