alex earned her first stripe

saturday morning, alex demonstrated her blocking 1,2,3 and her kicking 1,2,3 in order to earn her first stripe in tae kwon do. she's very proud. that's just one step to getting to point where she can take her first belt test. drums were cancelled this week because of the bad weather - that driveway would have been impossible to drive down with all that ice. and it's good it was cancelled because it took me 4 hours to get home that day. this weekend we also went to see mr. peabody and sherman in the theaters. and we tried a new burger place attached to the mall, the rail. the burgers were good; that place gets busy pretty fast. and the movie was cute; alex seemed to really enjoy it. and today, being st. patrick's day, alex is all dressed in green from head to toe - it's her favorite color so she gets into st. patrick's day.
