right to read week and more birthday fun
it was right to read week for alex and she had a theme for every day: including wearing a shirt with words; a hat with words; a button with words; wearing red (don't know why); and dressing like a cowgirl (i think there was some kind of motto that went along with the cowgirl theme.) so she was in her jesse dress on friday with her light-up pink cowgirl hat. friday night, alex and i enjoyed a little 5guys for dinner together. on saturday, alex had another birthday party to attend. this one was at a place called the painted penguin. each kid gets to pick out a ceramic figurine and then paint it and when they're done the figurine gets sprayed with glitter. alex chose to make an "ancient cat". back at home, alex built a fort with her fort kit in the corner of the family room; complete with "do not disturb" signs posted around the fort (i think those were for lonnie.) and speaking of lonnie...he got all muddy on friday running back and forth in the yard and the hose was still blocked with some ice in it, so i got lonnie in the bath tub to clean him up! he was filthy, so then the tub needs a lot of scrubbing after lonnie was done :)
