homework and soccer and theater, oh my!

we are pretty much back into the swing of things now - and by that i mean all the activities have started back up this past week as well as homework and we're all super busy all the time. soccer started this week; practice and her first game of the season. she is in a coed 2nd/3rd grade league this season. she was in forward most of the game on saturday and did great! she came so so so close to scoring so many times. it was raining the whole game and there was a big puddle right in front of the goal that she kept getting the ball in that would just stop the ball dead in it's tracks. so she needs to practice shots on goal, but she did awesome on offense. also, musical theater started up this week as well at OPA. that's behind closed doors while i get to go find a couch or chair to read on - so i didn't get to see her class, but she's been wanting to get back into a theater class for a while and it sounds like it was a good introductory session last week. i know they played that game where you tell two truths and one lie and people try to guess which is the lie. and then there's still taekwondo on the nights we still have open. and now there's homework in the mix as well - which includes reading every night - which is good, but on top of homework and activities and lunch making and dinners and playing with the new cat - it's hard to fit all that into the day. alex did start on the diary of a wimpy kid series this weekend and seems to like it so far, so that will hopefully keep her reading.
