exciting week for alex. she was a teacher helper this week, which she loved. she got a sticker because she was "caught doing something good" - not sure what that was, but she was excited. and she earned her "student of the month" patch at taekwondo! she seems to be most excited that her picture is up on the wall all month at the dojo (even though she doesn't like the picture and would like to take a new one, she still loves the spotlight of being on the wall as student of the month.) saturday, we had a really cold soccer game - in fact, we saw a little bit of snow during the game. and on sunday, we went to the mapleside farms pumpkin festival. they have this really cool pumpkin wall that is huge. we rode the hay ride, the pig train ride (which was bumpy and fun), went thru the amateur corn maze (the bigger one is 7 acres), played on the big playground, bought a peck of apples, bought our pumpkin, jumped on the awesome giant pillow (that was great), and rode the 300-something foot long slide! the slide was a blast - i could have gone down that all day - and jumped on the pillow. it's a beautiful farm and i can't wait to eat those apples.
