hibachi, lunch train and lots and lots of snow

it was my birthday weekend so we did lots of fun stuff. friday night we went out for hibachi - yum. so much food but oh so good and alex loves it there. on saturday we went on a lunch train with the cuyahoga valley scenic railroad. that was a lot of fun. it was about 3 hours long down to akron area and back. we had chips and bean dip for appetizer one, then a bacon and scallion potato salad for appetizer two. john and i had pork chop with green beans and potatoes while alex had chicken tenders with carrots for the lunch. and cherry cheesecake for dessert. alex loved walking two trains over to the restrooms and visiting the dome car. she met the conductors and got us cvsr buttons. then on sunday it snowed like crazy, and it's monday now and it's still snowing. alex built a snowman and had fun playing in the snow. the super bowl was on - we barely watched, but we caught the halftime show. and today was a snow day for alex.
