friday, alex didn't have school. so she started the day off at daycare, then got picked up by a friends to have a play date for a few hours. then i picked her up and dropped her off at sophie's birthday party. it was a salon party; she got a manicure, a pedicure and her hair all done up. she looked great and had a wonderful time. even though she said it really hurt when getting her hair curled. john had a late night school dance on friday so he didn't get home until well after bed time. the rest of the weekend was spent indoors. it snowed a lot on saturday and then got really really freezing. alex is still fighting a cold and cough so we tried taking care of that. at her play date, emma showed her a little about minecraft, so she wanted that on her ipad and hasn't stopped playing since then. she has been building away and whatever else you do in minecraft. she's off school again today, but we are not, so she is going to school with john today and then errands.
