it was another full weekend for all of us. friday night we went to another monsters hockey game. it was an exciting game against toronto where we won in overtime. the next morning, alex had a make up belt test (she was busy for the scheduled test so they were nice again to accommodate us and have a make up test.) there were 3 other kids at the belt test. alex was the highest belt so she was the "captain" for the first time. she did a great job, she knows all her stuff, and she made breaking boards look like a piece of cake. so she moved up to blue belt now. which means a whole new class schedule because she'll be among the upper belts now. oh, we went out to lunch to congratulate alex and she tried onion rings and liked them - yum. then on sunday alex had a birthday party to attend. it was at artist for a day where she painted a ceramic dog. she said she had a good time and her face was covered in chocolate when we picked her up, so that's a good sign.
