back from a long weekend. and a busy one it was - or at least it felt that way. john went to open the cabin for summer so it was a girls weekend for alex and i. she had a soccer game on saturday, which went well. and then we ran errands and cleaned the house. finally ending the day in the pool in the backyard - it was on the chilly side but she still swam around and enjoyed it. on sunday, alex and i went down to columbus to the american girl doll store. we had lunch at the bistro, which is cute, but not the greatest of food (the pretzel bites were delicious though - and so was my pink lemonade.) then we did a little shopping there and moved on to the lego store and the candy shop. after our trek back to cleveland, cousin abbey came over for a sleepover. they played in the backyard, ate pizza, and then watch scooby doo and strawberry shortcake on the projector screen. then to round out the weekend, we went over to aunt jessica's for a grill out on monday while the kids all played in the little pool and rode around on trikes and scooters and such.
