we had a fun weekend as school is almost wrapped up for the year. john had a full day of graduation on sunday, but with a couple more weeks of school. and alex has only two more days of second grade! friday night alex and i went over and enjoyed the pool with aunt sarah and carter. yay, pool season. alex is getting more comfortable in the water which is always our goal with her in the summer. saturday alex had a soccer game - it rained during part of it (she seemed concerned that her hair was getting wet) but they played thru and did a great job. on sunday, while john worked, alex and i went to the movies to see tomorrowland. we both really enjoyed it. and she spent the whole ride home sketching designs for a jet pack. then we got some cleaning done and she painted a bit. she also told me she wishes to touch the eiffel tower one day and she wants to raise funds for animal rescue. she even followed up with me this morning to do some research to see what she can do as an 8 year old to volunteer or raise money for animals.
