soccer and hanging with kona

i haven't loaded the pictures from this week yet, so here's i think the first post with no photo! oh well. alex did a great job at soccer this week. they didn't have any subs and it was really hot out. and...she scored a goal!!!! yay, she hasn't done that since her first season of soccer when they were just randomly running around the tiny little field. john rewarded her with ice-cream. later that day, alex went over to aaron and mildred's while john and i went to his school fundraiser event. alex had a great time. she got to walk kona, their puggle, and watch a movie and see aaron's projects and all sorts of fun. on sunday, mother's day, alex helped john plant one of the gardens. that evening was over to bopey and normy-norm's where the kids  had lots of fun with bubbles and such out in the backyard. alex informed me this morning that she only has two and a half weeks left of school! i can't believe it.
