alex has completed the 2nd grade with great scores and now officially a 3rd grader! she had field day this week, which i hear was a lot of fun. she had her annual well visit with the doctor - she's healthy and didn't have to get any shots; she was happy about that. on friday night, alex had her recital for musical theater. her class sang Under the Sea. Alex had a solo - she had the first line of the song. she did great. her microphone wasn't working so you couldn't hear her solo, but that's ok. so that wrapped up theater class for this year and for the fall she decided on an art class at OPA. then saturday was the last soccer game of the season. they were down to only 4 players and it looked like they were playing against a full team of full grown 3rd grade boys! yet they still seemed to outscore the other team. alex scored a goal and had a great assist to drew. it was a fantastic finish to the spring soccer season. since she scored a goal we went out for some yummy soft serve ice cream at dairy queen. alex got a chocolate dipped in chocolate cone. and then we enjoyed lots of outdoor pool time this weekend and did our cleaning chores and such around the house.
