labor day weekend

it was a nice and hot long weekend. i got a few more steps done on alex's halloween costume - yay. i'm pretty sure i will actually finish it in time - fingers crossed. we got a few days in the backyard pool and finished off the weekend by draining it last night. boo; summer is coming to a close. we went over to sarah and matthew's this weekend for a cookout and some pool time there. alex got to see all her cousins. we cooked lots of delicious food this weekend as well. we ate some of the fish john caught in ny - which was absolutely delicious. alex started her christmas/birthday wish list: lots of star wars and pokemon and such. and soccer starts tonight. busy busy busy.
