john went on a fishing charter in NY that i got for him for his 40th birthday! it was on a friend of ours boat and he could bring 3 friends to go king salmon fishing. it sounds like they had a great time. meanwhile, alex and i had another girls' weekend. we kicked it off by getting pedicures - alex's first real pedicure. she loved it! i think she could have sat there all night with her feet soaking. she was trying so hard not to laugh when they were sanding/buffing the bottoms of her feet. and she chose a beautiful purple for her toes. on saturday, we went to the zoo with my friends, aaron and mildred. that was a lot of fun. the weather was great and we saw a lot of animals and were exhausted by the end. we enjoyed some mexican and then spent a lazy night watching doctor who. sunday is when we got stuff done like vacuuming and laundry and cooking - yay. we needed to get other stuff done, but you can only do so much in one day :)
