legos, harry potter and the math belt
last weekend was so busy that we played catch up for most of the weekend. alex spent quite a bit of the weekend building legos, in her pajamas, with a Harry Potter movie marathon on the tv. pretty nice. the week was pretty typical with school, work, taekwondo, jump rope club and guitar lesson. she's working hard at taekwondo; has learned some tricks in jump rope club; and it sounds like she's doing well and learning things in guitar. last week, alex also earned the math belt at school. i guess if they do something extra or creative in the world of math they earn a spot with the math belt (i'm a little confused as to how it actually works.) alex earned it by figuring out how a bunch of fractions add up to one half. the boy in the picture is one of her classmates who earned the math belt on the same day - which seems rather unusual because i think there's only been about 6 winners total for the entire school year so far!
