it was a busy week, as usual. every year for st. patrick's day, the leprechaun leaves a treasure map for alex. each clue is a riddle with chocolate coins along each stop and a final prize at the end. alex was really good at solving the riddles this year and the final prize was a mega pack of pokemon cards with a pin and coin. also on st. patrick's day, we got a new garage door! the last one was half broken and really dangerous. this one has a keypad and all, but generally looks exactly the same as everyone else's garage door now. it's nice to get that done with though and park in our garage again. we also had a very full and fun weekend. friday night, john and matthew went to the hockey game like alex and me and sarah and carter and connor all hung out and ate pizza. then on saturday, sarah and i went to the hockey game while everyone else hung out and ate chicken parmesan. sunday, we got a lot of stuff done, including grocery and laundry and cooking and egg dyeing. alex really wanted to fit that in yesterday so she basically did everything - well, after we hard boiled the eggs. half the eggs were farm fresh eggs and we didn't know how well they would dye since they aren't white, and they turned out beautiful. i can't believe it's almost easter already!
