i didn't post last week - i forgot on account of not feeling well. mother's day was lovely and alex had soccer - she scored a goal and i believe got an assist as well. this week was crazy - like usual. unfortunately, alex was sick on friday from school with a fever and all. and it was a big day to miss with classroom waffles, a small parade, a visit from her teacher's wife, and a field trip! she was really upset that she had to stay home and miss all of that. so i let her rent a couple movies and promised to make her waffles (which i did on sunday.) she didn't go to soccer on saturday because she was still on the mend and we didn't want her running outside in the rain. saturday night was john's school fundraiser event. we had a lovely time and alex went over to my friends' place for the evening. she had a great time over there watching movies and hanging out with their small dogs and even took them on a walk. on sunday, we stopped in at cousin Carter's birthday party with his friends. we went because my friend, the stormtrooper TK 19513, was making an appearance. Carter really likes the bad guys in Star Wars and it sounds like he was thrilled to have a stormtrooper at his party. then we went home and cooked and made lunches and tried to catch up on the week.
