alex is back to school tomorrow! that seemed like a short summer. she is all set and knows who her teacher is and all her stuff is packed. plus she's picked out her first day of school outfit. last week was her last field trip of the summer. they went to the jump yard - which is an inflatable indoor playground with lots of slides and such. they had a great time. it was rainy and muggy all weekend so we spent all our time indoors cleaning and crafting and watching movies and such. last night, one of john's high school friends (who lives in canada now) came over for dinner with his 2 daughters (8 and 11.) everyone had a good time and all the girls seemed to get along really well. it was nice that john got to see matt - it's been probably a decade! john's school is back in session already and he goes back to school himself very soon for another masters. alex will start up guitar again soon and soccer (depending on what night practice they assign her) and continue with taekwondo. and i move office buildings this weekend! busy times :)
