thanksgiving in cincinnati

it's thanksgiving time. we travelled to cincinnati for the holiday and had thanksgiving dinner at aunt mary and uncle jim's house. alex ate several helpings of noodles, some rolls, shrimp and sweet potato casserole. she finished with a cupcake and some pumpkin roll. she did not even get around to trying any turkey. she really liked the sweet potato casserole and went back for seconds. we went shopping at the gap outlet on black friday (which is just a normal shopping day at the factory outlet, which is nice.) then we had christmas and birthdays with grandpa jerry and uncle john. alex got a ton of stuff including legos and pokemon cards and a force band for her bb-8 toy droid. we headed back home to cleveland on saturday, exhausted. alex still had a ton of homework to do - even though she was doing it in the car both ways and then some! on sunday, we went to see santa at petitti's. he's a great looking santa and it's quick and free (if you just take your own pictures and not buy theirs.) plus the whole garden center is decorated which is lovely. we finished up with laundry and cleaning and getting ready for the week ahead :)
