it was back to school and work for everyone and back to activities. the first week is always rough, but we did it and it finished with a nice weekend. alex had her birthday party with her best girl friends at swings 'n' things. it started off in the glow party room where they could write on the table and the marker glowed and they mostly glowed as well as their plates and cups and all. they had yummy pizza and then swings 'n' things homemade ice cream. after they ate and opened presents and got their goody bags they ran off to the tube and slide area to get out some of their energy. 10 year girls can really scream and squeal. then they each got a game card loaded with 40 minutes of unlimited arcade play and $5 ticket game play (alex got $10 plus a spin on the birthday wheel.) the arcade play included unlimited mini bowling as well. it was early so we practically had the place to ourselves. alex had a lot of fun as well as her friends, but i think john had the most fun playing arcade and video games. after her party we went over to sarah and matthew's for connor's birthday party. alex always has fun with her cousins. sunday was spent doing homework and laundry and cooking and i got some crafting in as well. and lacrosse started back up yesterday.
