it feels like we are still just trying to get back into the swing of things. it was a busy week, as usual. john went to Minneapolis for a quick trip for work. alex continues to have a ton of homework every day. she is trying to get to tae kwon do as much as possible, but that's hard when homework comes first. but she is fitting it in and getting her homework done. also, there's lacrosse, which is fun and should be a good replacement for soccer. weekend was busy catching up and such. alex had her friend grace over for a play date. alex showed her around the house and yard and then they went up to the school playground and library. on the walk back they noticed some kids had vandalized the playground with curse words and dirty drawings and wanted to clean it up before school the next day. luckily it was only chalk so with a little help they got it mostly clean, it's just so nice that they cared to do something about it.
