it was a lovely long weekend. we went out to eat a few times; we crafted; we cleaned; went to a movie; john fished a bit; alex did a bunch of homework; and we had easter! alex may know that the easter bunny is john and me, but she still likes to participate and play along. so we hit eggs and filled an easter basket. she had fun finding the eggs at our house and we still have a missing one somewhere. some were filled with money and some were filled with chocolates, so we'll see what the missing one contains if we ever find it. she also got a basket full of goodies, including an airhog millenium falcon - it was so windy on easter though that it was too difficult to fly it, so she'll have to try again another day. she also got an extreme doctor who dot-to-dot book, a star wars craft project, some tsum tsums and other fun stuff. oh yeah, doctor who returned this weekend with a new companion so that was fun: we stayed up to watch and wore some tardis clothes and made blue rice krispie treats with tardis sprinkles. on easter, we also went over to bopey and norm's where we all get easter baskets and the younger kids searched for eggs (alex helped; she would have too much of an advantage finding eggs with the younger kids.) and we finished dinner with egg shaped cakes that bopey bought that alex said was delicious.
