alex had a busy week of mostly fun stuff. she was supposed to have her first lacrosse game, but it was pouring down rain and then it snowed a decent amount so that game will be rescheduled. which also means she didn't have many practices this week either. but she got her report card and she did great. she had a playdate on friday at her friend emma's house. when we picked her up we went out to mexican which we haven't done in a while - it was delicious. on saturday, alex had a playdate with her friend, grace. they went to the aquarium - notice fun picture here :) and alex got a new pressed penny to add to her collection. after the aquarium they went out to eat at the chocolate bar. i guess she had nachos, but tried a piece of steak dipped in chocolate and some other things dipped in chocolate. sunday, alex ran some errands with john to the grocery and the pet store (where she decided she needed to save up for a chinchilla once she's saved up for her car) and then five guys to eat. i guess she got the adult sized burger! (but only made it about halfway thru) then she did lots of homework. i made sourdough bread, planted a cat garden, helped john make pickled cabbage, and started alex's halloween costume (there's a lot of pieces to make so this one might take me quite a bit of time.)
