it was really a busy work week for everybody and not a lot of fun time, but we fit in a little bit. alex had newspaper club, band, and a few tests this week. the first quarter is close to the end and she's doing well. while i enjoyed a lovely morning of mani/pedi and lunch time on saturday, john and alex cleaned like crazy (well john cleaned more than alex.) but alex did spend all day on sunday cleaning up her art desk and surrounding areas. she invited her friend Libby over for trick-or-treating, so the place needed some tidying up. we're behind on carving the pumpkin since this upcoming weekend is pretty full. but it is started. alex tried on her costume again and she looks great! we took some pictures. i need to make a couple of adjustments to the strap on the quarter staff and i wish the pants fit better, but overall it looks great. that was a lot of work and i had never done leatherwork to that extent before, so i'm pleased. and alex seems to like it. her school halloween party is this friday. and i would bet that alex will be wearing most of this outfit to go see the new star wars movie in december.
