alex ended her first quarter of school with straight As and an academic achievement award! she also wrapped up her time on the newspaper club. flute continues throughout the school year and is going well. we spent some time this weekend cleaning up halloween and slowly looking at christmas decorations. we have a lot of christmas stuff and it takes a lot of work to get it all out so i like it enjoy it. on sunday, alex and i went to see waitress. we both really enjoyed it. they were selling little pies in a jars. you could get either apple or salted caramel. we both had eating fresh apple pie for breakfast that day (yes, it turned out to be a pie day for us) so we both enjoyed the salted caramel. it was really good - alex wanted a second one, but that's a lot of sugar! the show was great and now we can't get the songs out of our heads.
