it was a full week back at school for alex. and they jumped right into taking their maps tests! i think she had 4 days of english and math maps testing - no time to wake up their brains from the holidays. she also had photo club, GEMS club, and coding class was back this week. she seemed excited to go back to coding and start javascript. we cleaned this weekend and got the rest of christmas cleaned up - except for the leg lamp; we're going to keep that out until after my birthday. alex also made drop biscuits and we made flat bread pizzas. she spent quite a bit of her weekend working on art homework while we watched some shows and movies. it was amusing watching her get so upset at the people in shaun of the dead - it's a comedy, but she wanted them to fight with sensible weapons and kill zombies how you're supposed to kill zombies, haha. i finally mounted our scratch off posters so we all scratched off what we've seen, drank or read. alex has a list of movies now to catch up on and i have books that i need to read while john has new beers to try.
