snow days

in GEMS club this week, Alex got to learn how to rewire a toy and use a solder iron! she loved it. winter lacrosse started this week, too. she was very excited and i guess it went well. then the snow started and coding was cancelled (CSU campus was closed actually.) alex was hoping to go sledding, but it was so bitter cold that we weren't able to fit that in. she did play outside in the snow a little, but it wasn't packable snow so building anything didn't work. it was perfect hot tub weather so we did that every day. and cleaned the house and watched movies and tv. we also crafted and cooked. alex had monday off for MLK day and was still snowed it. today, school was called for the extreme cold. i think she'll probably work on some legos and watch some of her shows on netflix.
