john is in texas helping with aunt lani's house and such, so it's a girls' weekend for alex and i. she had lacrosse on friday and coding on saturday. after i picked her from coding we went to brewnuts. i've been wanting to go there and this seemed like the perfect time. we each got a donut for there and i got a beer; plus we got 6 donuts to take home. they're huge and they're delicious! we were completely stuffed after and want to go there again. we are still eating the leftover donuts. that night we were supposed to go to a fundraising event, but we didn't have water so there was no way to get ready. they were fixing something down the street and it finally came back on that evening. so we watched netflix and ate a frozen pizza. sunday we spent doing laundry and prepping yarn to teach alex how to knit. she's doing great so far - i think she has a knack for it. yesterday was the last day of photo club - i think she's happy, she was getting a bit bored with it. she still enjoys taking pictures though and will continue.
