bitter cold plus my birthday and

it was unusually cold for everyone this week, setting records. schools closed for 2 days. john still had to work and alex had a field trip scheduled. that's getting rescheduled though so she won't miss it. alex spent those 2 days with bopey and carter. i guess they ate pancakes and went thru pokemon cards. my birthday was the coldest day of the week and we still ventured out to get some mexican for dinner. friday night, alex had lacrosse - i think we're halfway thru winter lacrosse now. saturday, alex had coding. we watched a movie later that day which was on her scratch off poster and she hadn't seen yet - the sixth sense. she didn't see the twist coming. of course we watched groundhog day as well. sunday, we watched the puppy bowl and the kitten bowl and made snacks and alex made delicious brownies and we ate a lot! this week should be relatively normal.
