well, a couple more firsts this weekend. last year alex really didn't go out and play in the snow - she was just too small still. so this weekend - even though we didn't have a ton of snow - she got all geared up in her snowsuit for the first time and went outside to check out the snow. she, of course, wanted to swing (even though she barely fit in the swing with that suit on and the big snow boots) and she didn't want to go back inside when we felt it had been long enough in the cold. and now, i think i'm going to have to hide the snowsuit because this morning she threw a little tantrum for me because she wanted to wear that to school instead of her regular winter coat. another first this weekend was the buckeye. i made buckeyes this weekend for the holidays and alex got to try one - needless to say she enjoyed it thoroughly (i think it kept her up a little with all the sugar, but hey you only get one first time with a buckeye).
