we recently rediscovered a gift card from mimi to alex from christmas that was "lost" in my purse! so, we let alex pick out what she wanted...of course, she'd choose something and then change her mind when she saw something better, until...she eyed that barbie guitar and very definitively said "i want that guitar!" it's actually pretty cool, it has strings and a whammy bar and slide bar. she was playing it all day and really wants to show it to her friends at school at next show-n-tell. Sunday we went to Disney Live! there was mickey mouse clubhouse, tigger and pooh, handy manny and the little einsteins. we were pretty close this time (contrast to last row at dora :) ). and it was a big hit with alex. she was so exited to see everyone - especially rocket, annie and handy manny - oh and she was really really excited when donald came out! we got to see the entire show and only had one restroom trip and that was during intermission, so it held her attention better than anything else we've done to date. oh, and at the end they shot confetti and streamers out at the audience (quite a little shocker actually) creating a pretty big mess...and of course, who wants to stop and clean up all the confetti and streamers? alex!! not the best ending for the parents of the kid who feels the need to clean every place we go!
