snow!

we got to try out the new snow pants this weekend thanks to weather. alex wanted to make snowballs. she's really excited to make a snowman but she realizes there isn't enough snow yet for that so she had to settle for throwing snowballs at john and me. she still needs to get some snow boots pronto - she has winter boots and she doesn't understand why they are not snow boots because according to her there's snow in the winter - which obviously is a pretty good argument. but then she realized that the winter boots don't keep her feet dry and the snow out. we also got started on the holiday wrapping and alex was quite the assistant to me - well, sort of. she helped with some taping and some organizing and then would get distracted with christmas ornaments and start playing again, only to return to the gift wrapping mad at me for continuing on with the work myself. and finally we had gymnastics again this weekend (we've missed a few for one reason or another). miss kim wasn't there so of course alex wouldn't go upside on the bars, but she did enjoy the trampoline. and alex was in narration mode all day saturday, giving me and everyone else a play by play of all events even though we could clearly see what was happening ourselves.
