almost summer.

alex has another week of school and then she's on summer break for a bit. she is the last one of her friends to start summer break (and most of them have teacher parents so almost all her friends are out for summer already) and one of her friend's mom took pictures and gave them out. this is a picture of emma and alex - one of her besties - aren't they cute. soccer is wrapping up too - in fact it should be done already but we're fitting in one more make-up game this week. during last week's make-up game alex scored her first goal! she was so excited - i did not get it on video tape or anything, it was 90 plus degrees out and i completely forgot thru all the humidity to film anything. but she's getting the idea, at least when she's paying attention. they are all so polite to each other still though, not getting very aggressive with taking the ball yet. and alex flew a kite for the first time this weekend - i didn't see her do it so i'm not sure how well it went but she was excited.
