it was a busy weekend of visitors. grandpa jerry and uncle john were in town for the weekend. we went out to eat, played putt putt and got ice-cream, and even went to swings n things. it was raining on sunday so we just did the indoor parts of swings n things but it was fun. alex played on the tubes and such - she was too scared of the tube slide for some reason but she says she wants to do it next time. and we played arcade games. skeeball was funny, alex had some balls that didn't stay in her lane or even on the game. she got really good at this clown ball game where you try to get a low score or a high score. she said her favorite part of that place was seeing all the tickets coming out of the machine. then with her winnings she picked out a tamborine, a tape measure and a tootsie roll. then sunday night, my friend karen came for a visit with her two girls, kate and julia. alex had a great time with the girls and showed them her new bedroom and they enjoyed cupcakes and pizza and building puzzles together. exhausting weekend, now to try to get back to a normal schedule :)
