yes, we've been back from canada for a week now but we're still settling down and it took me this long to edit the photos. and alex is back to school today too. she was very excited to go see her friends again and she's moved up to the upper red room - hopefully dawson is in her room still and not out for summer. we had a great time in canada, and the weather was warm and sunny every day. we had one night of a heavy heavy thunderstorm but that was about it. so alex got to do a lot of swimming, playing in the sand, rock hunting, bathing in the lake, art projects and fishing. she caught her first small mouth bass this year (and yes, it was with her dora rod). alex made lots of beaded necklaces and bracelets for people, she colored a lot (including a welcome sign for abbey) and she even did some model building (thanks to sarah since i could not figure out step one of building these models). alex got to make another bowl with kathryn the potter on her wheel - although i kind of had to talk her into it since she was more interested at the time in playing with a stick in the sand, go figure. but she enjoyed it once she started, in spite of her dirty hands. we went to the rosseau fair and alex took a few pictures of dogs and made a couple of friends on the playground. and of course, she ate lots and lots of chocolate timbits.
