heritage days parade
last week was olmsted falls heritage days parade and weekend events. alex wanted to go to the parade for more candy. so even though it was raining we walked up to the parade - it actually stopped raining just for the parade and started back up afterwards. this parade was bigger than the fourth of july one, and included the high school marching band, the corvette club, a bunch of tractors, lots of businesses, dance schools, churches, and alex's daycare. she had a great time. i got a lot of work done over the weekend on alex's atomic betty halloween costume. i made all the vinyl accessories and the watch even lights up (yay me for sewing a simple circuit). i was so worried that alex would end up looking like that poor kid with the awful homemade costume, but i think the pieces are really cute and alex really likes it. she still needs the dress for the costume and i'm making her a candy bag with an atomic alex graphic on it. alex has also been doing really well in her new room and new bed. she likes to play up in her room a lot now too and lonnie loves to try to be there with her even though the cat is not too happy with that.
