end of soccer season, dentist and carving pumpkins
alex had her school halloween party on friday. she brought in juice boxes and goody bags for all her friends and she got to wear her atomic alex costume, which she is very proud of (even though noone knows who she is). today, alex brought in pumpkin cookies to all her friends. saturday was alex's last soccer game of the fall season. it was quite muddy out, but she kept her shoes on this time. she enjoyed being goalie again, but when playing forward she actually got in there once and kicked the ball a couple of times. coach joe got them each a medal also - it says "if you had fun then you won" and it has a soccer ball on it - alex loves it. and we carved our pumpkin this weekend. if you can't tell what it is it's mickey mouse jack-o-lantern - alex drew it herself and i carved the ears and eyes and mouth trying to keep to the lines that she drew. and tonight is trick-or-treating, alex is very excited. happy halloween. and on saturday alex had a dentist appointment. she did very well even though she was scared. she did not want them to use the air hose in her mouth at all nor the rotary brush. she didn't like how high up the chair went either or how far back it layed, but she calmed down. she even got her first flouride treatment - they just paint the stuff right on your teeth these days, pretty cool. and she did such a good job she got to pick something out of the treasure chest as she was leaving.
