tuesday, alex had a make-up soccer game for one that was rained out. she played goalie in the first half of the game and did great. she saved 3 or 4 goals - it kept her paying attention to the game. then she played defense in the second half and didn't quite understand that she wasn't supposed to stay in one exact spot, so that one little area was defended well but she wouldn't move. then she finished off the game playing forward where she proceeded to chase around the ball with her arms out wide like a bird (she was confusing defending the goal with using her arms during forward play). then she got a cold and was sick and missed practice later that week and her game on saturday. she did run some errands with me, but was sick the whole weekend. in an attempt to get her used to packed lunch type foods, alex tried peanut butter and jelly this weekend - it didn't go so great (she does not like the jelly - oh well, we'll try a different lunch item next).
