it was a pretty filled weekend, fall is here. saturday morning was soccer. alex did well, she blocked quite a few goal shots and got in their kicking. school and theater are going well, the homework is adding up. saturday night was the shrimp boil at clifton beach club. it turned out to be a beautiful evening. alex loved the playground there and of course playing with the rocks in the sand. she enjoyed the pulled pork and would not try the shrimp or the crawfish. she did like the jalepeno cornbread. then on sunday, after it rained a bit the sun came out and we went to the pumpkin festival. this was one that we hadn't been to before. it was great. they have a big hay area with mini mazes and jumping and such. john and alex went thru the amazing maze, which literally took them about 45 minutes or so, it was 5 acres of maze. they had a nice hay ride (one of the ones i like where you get to sit on benches in the wagon) that even included a young military zombie actor. and we picked out our pumpkin to carve as well.
