it's getting sunny, finally

busy, as usual. alex and i have both been running - she ran a half mile easily on thursday. she's doing well in tae kwon do - on her way to her second mark. and she has a project at school about penguins to work on. she has to write a report; create a powerpoint presentation; and a visual aide. that's what we're doing in the picture; starting her papier mache penguin. on saturday, even though it was chilly out, john took alex fishing with his friend and kids; quinn and bea. alex had fun; i have no idea how much fishing the kids did or if they played in the mud and hiked, but they had fun. and sunday it was sunny out finally, so after we finished the first layer of papier mache, alex played in the backyard sun; where she caught several spiders and maybe a cricket or two.
