alex and i went to the dentist this week: she is working on getting her 6 year old molars finally; only 1 has broken thru so far but i think another is trying. on friday, alex lost another tooth. her field trip this week was to a farm: i guess she fed and pet a lot of different animals; it sounded like she had a lot of fun. john was out of town for most of the weekend for a twin wedding that spanned friday and saturday night. on friday evening, alex and i participated in her first 5k; the electric run. alex wanted to run, but if i had let her do that she would have stopped after a mile and i wasn't going to carry her for the last 2 miles. so we walked briskly the whole way. it was fun, we were in the 3rd wave to start which was really early (especially since they were still starting people as we were trying to leave.) it's a big glow party, alex said it was awesome. alex did well; and that's with it being very slippery mud and past her bedtime (past my bedtime, too.) as soon as we got to the car after the event, alex fell asleep and slept hard thru the night (she didn't even wake up for me to carry her from the car to bed!) she was lucky though that she got to sleep thru the exit traffic from the race; that part was horrible, it took about an hour and a half to get out of there! since soccer and drums are over for the season, alex was able to go to lots of taekwon do this week and should be getting her 2nd yellow belt tip this week. she also earned 3 stars this week for helping during class. and the sun came out for saturday and sunday, so we got to visit the pool for the first time this season with carter and aunt sarah. and we set up the backyard pool on sunday while we ran laundry and such like that.
